Old Mother Gun

The very first 4.5 litre Bentley (chassis ST3001) originally registered to Capt. Woolfe Barnato (reg. no. YH3196) in 1927 and entered for that year’s Le Mans as a works car, unfortunately forced to retire following the famous White House corner crash. It would return in 1928, by this time nick-named ‘Old Mother Gun’ to win the race driven by Barnato & Rubin. It then came 2nd in 1929 driven by Clement & Chassagne. The car was re-constructed based on its original chassis and some other original components to precisely replicate its form as entered for its first (1927) Le Mans 24 hr race. This car is now sold

Pacey Hassan Bentley

One of the most prestigious cars in British motor racing history. It was designed by the legendary Walter Hassan (OBE) who went on to further fame with ERA, Jaguar and Coventry Climax. He joined Bentley Motors in 1921, becoming Woolfe Barnato’s race engineer. He designed the famous ‘Barnato Hassan Special’ single seat racing car. He was then commissioned by Bill Pacey to design this Pacey Hassan single seater. Based on a 3 litre Bentley chassis with 4.5 litre engine, the car became a famous Brooklands car, eventually lapping at 129.03mph in 1936. This car is now sold

W.O. Bently 6.5 Litre 1928

Chassis No. BR2359. Transformed into a fast road/circuit car, and fitted with a distinctive 2 seater body in 1968. This work being carried out by renown Bentley Specialist Richard Moss. The engine has been re-built to Speed Six specification. Used for Continental touring and rallies in recent years. Earlier this year the car went through a mini restoration with ourselves, including a bare metal repaint with photographic record. A superb, powerful Vintage Bentley. This car is now sold
